If a student is a member of a school performing group they are eligible to participate in the WIsconsin School Music Association Solo/Ensemble District Festival.  This year’s district festival will be held on March 24 and state festival is scheduled for May 5.  Students must enroll through their Prairie music teacher by February 1.  You can find out more about the district and state festival and the required music lists by going to www.wsmamusic.org 

About WSMA Honors Ensembles

Audition information for the WSMA Honors Choir, Band, Orchestra, and Jazz Band at both the middle and high school levels can also be found on the WSMA web site listed above in Links.  Pay close attention to the registration deadlines; they are firm deadlines.
